What To Expect

Summer Palace (Yiheyuan)
Your guide and private vehicle will pick you up from your hotel in Beijing. Then heading directly to the Summer Palace. On the way to the Summer Palace, about 40 minutes drive, your tour guide will explain the related histories and stories about the Summer Palace, feel free to ask your guide questions if you have.

Upon arrival, followed by your guide you will visit these buildings: the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity where they received officials and foreign envoys; the Hall of Jade Ripples where the emperor was under housing arrested for 10 years; Hall of Fragrant Herbs where the emperor used to store his books; the Hall of Happiness and longevity ,empress dowager Cixi's bedroom; Walk along the longest corridor in the world which listed on the Guinness book of world record; then continue to the Marble Boat--a foreign style superstructure which was supposed to be a symbol of stability of the Qing Dynasty.

Pool and Mulberry Tree Temple (Tanzhe Si)
Enjoy a countryside style lunch in the local restaurant. 

Then, follow your guide to tour the largest and oldest temple in the Beijing area - Tanzhe Temple, decorated in typical Ming and Qing architecture. The large complex also features extensive gardens and bamboo stands. Take a break with a cup of tea (black, green,or flower tea) with snacks, overlooking the scenery, the temple, and the locals coming to pray. Return to your hotel for drop-off at the end of your tour.
