What To Expect

Western Qing Tombs
Your guide will pick you up at 9:00am in your Beijing hotel's lobby, drive by private vehicle for approximately 2.5 hours to Western Qing Tombs. On the way you will enjoy beautiful countryside scenery, and your guide will give you a history class while driving, feel free to ask any questions on the way to your guide.

Western Qing Tombs are one of the groups of mausoleums of emperors from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).  There are 14 royal mausoleums and 78 royal members were buried. Including four emperors of the Qing Dynasty and their empresses, imperial concubines, princes and princesses, as well as other royal servants. The architecture fully displays the strict ranking system in the feudalistic society at that time. Stroll around the courtyards and halls, listen to the history and background about the tomb from your tour guide.

Then, stop at a local village for a delicious Chinese lunch. Afterwards you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.
