Overview

The forbidden city was built about 600 years, 24 emperors from the Ming and Qing Dynasty used to live inside. It called that because it was closed to the outside world in the past hundred years, till the year 1925 it started to open to the public. It´s one of the best-preserved imperial palaces in the world. There are about 10,000 rooms, occupy 72 hectares (about 180- acres). This tour will make sure you have enough time to explore the huge place.

Please note that the Forbidden City closes on Mondays.
