Gubei Water Town
Gubei Water Town is a replica of Wuzhen Water Town in the Southern China. The canal-laced water town resembles those south of the Yangtze River but incorporates some northern Chinese elements. During the Chinese New Year, Gubei Water Town will hold the Temple Fair which is the time for Chinese to worship gods, pray for the blessing. It is also a great time to have fun.

Accompanied by your friendly English Speaking Tour guide, do a walking tour of the Gubei Water Town to visit such places as a traditional distillery and dye workshops to learn about old-time industries and to make your own liquor and colorful cloth ( At your own expense); Shop for traditional oilpaper umbrellas, kites and lanterns etc; Enjoy such street foods as roasted sweet potatoes, candied-haw skewers and barbecue; Encounter lion dancers or acrobats performing on the streets. And more .

Simatai Great Wall
Enjoy a delicious lunch in one of the restaurant in Gubei Water Town.

Afterwards, you will be taken by a cable car to reach the top of the Simatai Great Wall. You will have some free time to hike around, enjoy the beautiful sceneries in the area ,and overlook the entire Gubei Water Town. When you are ready to leave, you will take the cable car back to the main entrance.

Distinct from other developed sections like Badaling, Juyongguan and Mutianyu, renovations at Simatai have focused only on essential reinforcement work. Its original appearance is still preserved to let you feel the truly historic atmosphere. The 5.4-kilometer-long wall with 35 guard towers is one of the only stretches of unrestored Ming-era Great Wall. Some bricks are inscribed with characters that indicate who created them centuries ago.
